8vo., First Edition, with portrait frontispiece, 3 coloured plates, 6 plates in monochrome, 14 maps in the text and front and rear endpaper maps; original red buckram, upper board with crest blocked in gilt, gilt back, a very good, clean copy. The best history of a proud regiment poorly served in this respect; the best section is that covering service in WWII. Although White gives 3 coloured plates of uniform, one of these is more accurately termed a battle scene. EXTREMELY SCARCE, ESPECIALLY IN THIS CONDITION. Sutcliffe, p.340; White, p.112.
