8vo., First Edition thus, with title-vignette and numerous wood-engravings in the text, some faint offsetting from fold-ins to free endpapers; original green cloth, backstrip lettered in black, a very good, bright, clean copy in dustwrapper, the latter lightly age-soiled and frayed at edges. Bell's well-known anthology was first published in 1936. This is the first issue illustrated by Stone, whose highly evocative illustrations (and dustwrapper artwork) complement the narrative perfectly. SCARCE IN THE DUSTWRAPPER.
