First edition, 2 vols., folio (335 x 250 mm), xvi, 396pp., list of subscribers, 97 unnumbered leaves of photogravure plates, line drawings in the text, half black morocco, corners rubbed otherwise a nice set. A record of 68 Country Houses described in considerable detail. ìThe illustrations are mainly photographic but some are probably wood cuts. The ësketchesí were originally designed for publication on ìEddowsís Shrewsbury Journalî and a number of the articles appeared in its columns but it was decided not to continue and they were then issued in this publication.îóCooper.
