The sale consisted of property belonging to the Spencer family and associated with one of their oldest family homes, Althorp House in Northamptonshire, completed in 1508 for John Spencer on a property of 550 acres. 549 lots in the sale. Illustrated in color. This sale included the famous Spencer Carriages, 13 of them. 11" high X 8" wide, 351 pages. Prices realized sheets included.
