Full colour pictorial softcover. = Dominique Villars (1745-1815) was the first to publish a regional flora of the French region Dauphiné, titled: Histoire des Plantes de Dauphiné in 3 volumes. (1786-1789) and his herbarium is still at the National History Museum in Grenoble including its development between 1814 and 1989. This well-illustrated catalogue, biography, and bibliography includes also several proofs of his handwriting, and those of other botanists dealing with his collection, and a bibliography and index of plant names. Inscribed (dedication) by the author. A very good copy. Surprisingly rare, currently no other copies on the internet.
