First edition, 4to, x, 403, [1]pp., presentation inscription at foot of title, from the author to John Lee Hartwell, 1852, 2 coloured plates, 2 lithograph plates, lacks the map as is the case with most copies, front inner hinge broken, short tears to gutter margin of title, occasional spotting through, orig. publishers, decorated in blind and lettered in gilt, spine torn a partially defective.
