First published in 1984, this remains the definitive study of the development of the many trade, skill-at-arms, appointment and instructors' badges for use in the British Army. It includes photographs, around 250 in total, of virtually all the known examples, many of them rare and otherwise undocumented. The present edition includes much supplementary information.
