With 74 very fine and beautiful colourplates from the paintings of Robert Fowler, each with a captioned tissue guard. 8vo, in publisher's dark green cloth gilt lettered on the spine and upper cover, and also charmingly illustrated with berries, leaves and dragon motifs in red and light green. xi, 213, 4 ads, pp. A very fresh and bright copy, with just a hint of occasional and very mild spotting in the margins, the plates however are completely free of it and are very fine and spotless. The pretty decorated cloth is in excellent condition, with no fading and virtually no wear, with very mellowing to the endpapers as is typical.
