A FASCINATING LETTER FROM PIERRE LOUŸS TO FELLOW AUTHOR CLAUDE FARRERE, in which Louÿs explains that he is about to receive the Légion d'Honneur (and that he is baffled as to how that could have happened). He goes on to sympathize with Farrère over the latter's problems with women. In a post-script, he asks Farrère to tell nobody about the award. Initialed by Louÿs. 3 pages on two conjugate leaves of fine wove paper. About 300 words, neatly written in Louÿs' characteristic purple ink. In perfect condition.
