2 volumes. Rare First Edition of each volume. With engraved portrait frontispiece of Park, finely engraved plates including the music plates, and folding maps throughout, a number of the maps coloured in outline. All plates and maps present as called for. 4to, full contemporary diced calf, the boards framed with gilt rules around a fanciful blind tooled frame in vine motif, the spine with gilt stippled raised bands separating the diced compartments which are ruled in gilt, the upper compartment with gilt boars-head tool, two black morocco labels gilt lettered and ruled, fine gilt rolled turn-ins and gilt hatched edges, handsome marbled endpapers bearing the fine engraved armorial bookplates of Richard Henry Tidswell, Barrister xxviii, 372, xcii, [2]; cxxx, [6], 219, xxvii pp. A fine and beautiful set in rare contemporary bindings, unusually well preserved. The text is especially fresh and clean, essentially free of any evidence of use, very minor offset from the plates and maps, which are also in uncommonly fine condition. The bindings are especially handsome and to a gentleman's taste, firm and strong and well preserved.
