8vo., Second Edition, with a frontispiece, 8 coloured plates, 8 plates in monochrome, numerous illustrations (a number full-page) in the text and 2 folding plans (lightly spotted), neat contemporary signature and date on half-title, endpapers lightly spotted; original regimental cloth, blocked in gilt, black and academy colours, gilt back, gilt top, uncut, a very good, clean copy. With an engraved armorial bookplate. The first edition, of which this is a considerably revised and updated issue (see 'Preface to the Second Edition'), was published in 1900. SCARCE IN THIS CONDITION.
