8vo., First Edition, with front and rear endpaper maps; terracotta tweed cloth, backstrip lettered in silver, a near fine copy in unclipped dustwrapper, the latter lightly chafed at extremities and with small chip (affecting lettering) at head of backstrip. With striking dustwrapper artwork by George Adamson. The author's second novel and sequel to his ground-breaking 'The Weirdstone of Brisingamen' published three years earlier. The third book in the trilogy, 'Boneland', did not appear until 2012. SCARCE IN THIS CONDITION.
