Einband leicht berieben und lichtspurig. - The fiftieth anniversary of the death of Sigmund Freud falls in 1989, and I think that this could be a further occasion for the International Psychoanalytical Association to look into the development of Psychoanalysis and its prospects for the future. In fact, the theme of the Congress: "Common Ground in Psychoanalysis: Clinical Aims and Process", will allow us to trace the development of psychoanalysis over the 50 years since Freud's death, to look at its origins and its unwinding, and to reflect on the lines of its future hopefully renewing in us our loyal commitment to our work.
