Twenty-three oversized hockey cards representing the players and staff of the 1979 Soviet national ice hockey team. Fans of any language who watched the epic 1972 Canada-Russia series will easily recognize such famous players as Vladislav Tretiak, Valeri Kharlamov, Boris Mikhailov, and many others, not to mention their omnipresent coach Viktor Tikhonov. Each card measures 21 x 15cm with colour and black and white photos plus text on one side and considerable text on the back. We repeat, all text is in Russian. The cards come packaged in a two-fold colour outer wrap. Clean and unmarked with light wear. A wonderful and uncommon memento of the glory days of Soviet ice hockey. Book
