8vo., First Edition thus, with title-vignette and 45 illustrations by Tunnicliffe; red cloth, upper board and backstrip blocked and lettered in silver, blue top, a near fine copy in unclipped dustwrapper. Nice copy of the new edition of the second text. The type is re-set, retaining the illustrations of the 1948 edition save for one tailpiece, the salmon device at the end and the endpaper decorations. SCARCE, ESPECIALLY IN THIS CONDITION. Matthews, p.99.
