First (only) edition, in German, complete in 3 volumes. Full title Der Orientteppich Seine Geschichte und Seine Kultur. Original editorial grey cloth, covers in poor conditions, rather worn with spine missing from Volume III (see photos), owner inscription on front boards, preliminary leaves of Vol. I loose, internally in good conditions and complete, but it will need rebinding. Classic work in German on oriental rugs, still a standard work on the subject, covering history, art, making, handling and repair, ranging from the Middle East and Caucasus through Persia to India and China. Profusely illustrated by b/w and colour pictures, volumes II and III contain beautiful mounted colour plates of some of the rugs described.
Prima (unica) edizione, in tedesco, completo in 3 volumi. Rilegatura originale editoriale in cattive condizioni, consunta, dorso mancante nel vol. III (v. foto), scritte proprietario ai piatti, fogli preliminari sciolti nel vol. I, interno in buone condizioni e completo di tutte le tavole. Necessita di una nuova rilegatura. Opera classica sui tappeti orientali, tuttora un lavoro di riferimento.
