Sixth volume of the author's delightful sequence of autobiographical memoirs. With the war in progress, Lady Fortescue learns that her Sussex home is to be taken over by the army. Undaunted, she hires a caravan in Devon, canvassing support for the Amis des Voluntaires Français and joining the Red Cross. Later, learning of the death of Mademoiselle she resolves to return to Provence to continue her friend's relief work there. VERY SCARCE IN THIS CONDITION
