Edizione: alice's adventures in wonderland has proven itself to be one of the most enduring classics of literature - for children or otherwise. it has been reprinted in innumerable formats, and its characters have been borrowed by, imitated by, and adapted for almost every media imaginable, from board games to postage stamps, from print to stage and film, and one would not be surprised to find a web page on the internet devoted to alice. its importance might be gauged by the fact that it is one of only three books written for children (five, if one includes aesop's fables and froebel's “mutter- und kose-leider”) included in the "printing and the mind of man" exhibition.<br> this edition, with harry rountree's illustrations proved enormously popular and was reprinted many times.
