First edition, part I [all published?], 8vo (240 x 145 mm), [2], 169, [1]pp., diagrams in the text, some numerical pencil annotations to endpapers, original publishers cloth, faded, head and foot of spine slightly frayed, printed paper title label to spine slightly chipped. An unrecorded mathematical text book printed for Grantham Grammar School, which has an unbroken history on the same site since its re-endowment in 1528 by Richard Foxe, although its history can be traced back to 1329. Early scholars included William Cecil (1530s), Henry More (c. 1620s), Isaac Newton (1655ñ1659) and Colley Cibber (1682ñ1687).
