4to (285 x 225 mm), [8], xxxviii, 93 [i.e. 117]pp., p. 117 misnumbered 93, without half-title but with the list of subscribers, 25 engraved plates (some lightly spotted), cont. calf, early reback with original spine laid-down. This catalogue, based on Lord Pembrokeís own notes, is mainly concerned with the important collection of classical sculpture at Wilton, but also lists the collection of paintings. The preface gives an account of Pembroke as collector and its explanation of the principles on which the collection of sculpture was formed is an interesting contribution to the theory of collecting.
